Please sign your name on Talk pages by typing ~~~~. To link to an image page without embedding the image, type: [[:File:Foo.jpg]], which produces: File:Foo.jpg. You may enable gadgets (custom features) for your account. There are several tools to upload files. Have you edited Wikipedia before? This guide might be useful. Made a mistake? Do you want to have a file renamed or moved? Use the move link and wait for an authorized user to rename it. Do you want to have your recently uploaded picture removed? Tag it as {{speedy|reason here}}. For more information read the deletion guidelines.

SL Photo-License

There's also the entirely separate issue of Ballet Pixelle's copyright in their dance moves. I won't be revoking my attempt, and we'll see what whichever admin handles the request after a week thinks. * Pppery * _{it has begun...} 02:25, 13 March 2023 (UTC)

These pics dont show 'moves' , they show stills. So where are they listed now? Where will the 'discours' be held? Why would these pics not be my own work? Peli (talk) 02:33, 13 March 2023 (UTC)

RblxFunkyGamer

I'm a little concerned about RblxFunkyGamer. Their contributions appear to be in good faith, but they don't seem to understand how to properly license their work (i.e. what belongs here) or what the scope of Wikimedia Commons is. Some of their replies to deletion requests and other licensing matters on their talk page seem to show a lack of understanding. Removal

How to speedy delete a file

How can I request a speedy deletion of an author-requested file? I recently uploaded the file File:Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan & Party.png to Wikimedia Commons, but it appears to be of poor quality. I would like to request its deletion. TheBirdsShedTears (talk) 14:51, 25 November 2024 (UTC)

2023 Picture of the Year: Incense plays an important role in Vietnamese life. It is considered as a sacred bridge to connect the visible life of human beings and the world of heaven, earth, and gods. Hundreds of images that have been rated Featured Pictures by the international Wikimedia Commons community in the past year are all entered in this competition. These images include professional animal and plant shots, breathtaking panoramas and skylines, restorations of historical images, photographs portraying the world's best architecture, impressive human portraits, and so much more.

For your convenience, we have sorted the images into topical categories. Two rounds of voting will be held: In the first round, you may vote for as many images as you like. The top 30 overall and top 5% of most popular images in each category will continue to the final. In the final round, you may vote for just three images to become the Picture of the Year.

I also want to highlight what an incredible turnout we had. In the second round, we saw a massive jump in both the number of users voting and the total votes cast. We had exactly 13,979 votes cast by 3,509 users! To put that in perspective, last year we had 7,403 votes from 2,837 users. It is amazing to see that level of growth and community engagement.

Thank you to everyone who voted, helped organize, and generally made the contest such a huge success this year!
