Initially produced by Dornier Luftfahrt GmbH. The aircraft is capable of transporting up to 32 passengers.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><br \/>\n<section  class='av_textblock_section av-37jpk7-5c5e7d690927ae553eb001303537ecde '  ><div class='avia_textblock' ><h2><span style=\"color: #daa520;\">History and Features<\/span><\/h2>\n<\/div><\/section><br \/>\n<section  class='av_textblock_section av-2j0v6r-a95e417f2e5d0e864728cc0a9195c283 '  ><div class='avia_textblock' ><blockquote>\n<p><span class='av_dropcap1 av-av_dropcap1-3cd9da5fea0ef5fb27aee617571c39a3'>T<\/span>he Dornier 328-300 or Dornier 328JET entered a new small Regional Jet market segment in 1997. The first prototype celebrated its roll-out on 6th December 1997 at Oberpfaffenhofen near Munich and performed its first flight there on 20th January 1998. Certfication and first delivery followed by mid 1999.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Fairchild-Dornier developed the turbofan-based 328-300 or 328JET, of which 83 were sold. The 328JET prototype rolled out on 6 December 1997 and made its first flight on 20 January 1998. The 328JET utilized the same cabin arrangement as the 328. Fairchild-Dornier also began development of the stretched 428JET, a 44-seat version of the 328JET.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The declining commercial success of the 328JET meant that Fairchild-Dornier was unable to finance the development of further models. The 328JET was therefore the last commercial aircraft to be produced by the former Dornier business before it became insolvent in 2002.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">A total of\u00a0122 Dornier 328JETs have been built and delivered.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Aircraft of similar role, configuration and era are: Bombardier CRJ200, Embraer ERJ 135.<\/p>\n<p>\n<style type=\"text\/css\"
