The freighter has the capacity to carry 39,000 kgs of freight over a distance up to 5,950 km. The aircraft has a maximum payload of 40,600 kgs. The main cargo deck can hold up to 16 standard 2.24m x 3.17m pallets. Airbus launched a new freighter variant of the A330 to enter service in 2009.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The converted A310 freighter gives a quickly available and cost-effective cargo transport for mid-size freight. The low empty weight and wide body with large fuselage cross-section gives fast and efficient cargo handling and good freight volume.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">Airbus\u2019 A310 is the most profitable jetliner in its class, with lower operating costs and better economy than any other airliner in the 200-seat category. Since its service entry in 1983, the aircraft has provided maximum flexibility for operators \u2013 flying short-, medium- and extended-range routes with a high-degree of reliability.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The groundbreaking A310 accommodates between 190 and 230 passengers in a typical three-class layout, at a range of up to 5,200 nautical miles. The A310\u2019s two engine options \u2013 General Electric\u2019s CF6-80C2 and the PW4000 from Pratt &#038; Whitney provide reduced fuel-burn along with lower noise levels and CO2 emissions.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The A310 has been commonly marketed as an introduction to wide-body operations for airlines based in developing countries. The airliner was replaced in Airbus&#8217; lineup by the highly successful A330-200 which shares its fuselage cross-section.<\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\">The Boeing 767 and McDonnell Douglas DC10 have
