He&#8217;s worked in the Middle East, West Germany, East Africa, the Balkans, and Central Asia as a soldier in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.army.mil\">U.S. Army<\/a> and civilian military contractor since 1984. Working on projects ranging from an aviation operations manager in support of UN and African Union forces in Darfur, Sudan, to the design and deployment of logistical management systems used to track the movement of 100 million kg of air cargo per year into Afghanistan in support of American and ISAF forces in a dual role as an aviation operation manager at Kandahar Airfield.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">James has also led media projects as an accredited journalist documenting conflicts in Kosovo, Israel, the Palestinian West Bank, and Iraq. He is a veteran of the <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/101st_Airborne_Division\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">US Army&#8217;s 101st Airborne Division<\/a> and holds a B.F.A. in Art and Design (Honors) and an M.A. in Mass Communications and Media Arts.
